Vincent Yong is Singapore’s only Certified Movement Analyst and the first Southeast Asian Registered Somatic Movement Therapist and Educator under ISMETA, with over 26 years of experience helping people transform how they move, feel, and respond to life. An international speaker, educator, and author, he integrates science and somatics to help individuals rewire habitual patterns, enabling them to live with greater calm, clarity, and authenticity. Vincent has presented on various platforms such as the Harvard University Neuroscience Conference, International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS), National Counselling and Psychotherapy Conference and The Embodiment Conference. In trauma and healing, he has shared the stage with luminaries like Dr Gabor Maté and Dr Stephen Porges. He is the author of Flow – The Art of Creating AbunDance and a contributor to Mindful Movement: The Evolution of Somatic Arts and Conscious Action by Dr Martha Eddy.

I created Dance Flow Therapy™ ( Release ) because I’ve seen how heaviness, in the heart and mind, quietly settles into the body. The weight builds little by little, often unnoticed, until it shows up as tension, restlessness, and an inability to truly switch off.
This class is an invitation to live lighter, to feel freer and to gently release physical tension, unconstructive narratives, mental judgement, pent-up emotions, and the worries we carry. Through guided movement, you learn to unload, to soften, and to return to a state where your bodily systems can finally have the space and clarity to face challenges with a gentler touch.
My experience after RELEASE has been amazing, hypervigilance has been something I’ve been struggling with. After the session I experienced the world a lot slower, with no racing thoughts and was able to get a good night’s sleep after weeks of not being able to sleep well. Thank you Vincent for the session!
I felt like I received therapy, stretching, yoga and gliding dance movements all in one! I loved the intentional focus on slowing down as it’s always a fast pace race for me daily. I felt so light after. Was just body movements to ease the tensions out of your body with no KPIs, outputs or the need to perform! Vincent is very patient as well. 😊
For some seasons, I’ve been held back by past negative experiences that affected my movements. Through DFT Release, I learnt that reintegration happens when you let your mind and body move and flow as one. This has helped me gained better self-agency, awareness to trust myself and my body to move with confidence and freedom again! I highly recommend everyone to come experience the joy and healing gained through DFT!
I love how Vincent brings in philosophy, body awareness and movement through dance, all in one. I thoroughly enjoyed the session flow, how he interpret the way we move akin to how we approach life and also it was fun that he let us have a chance to shine in groups, to dance without his guidance. It was a safe, non-judgemental and gentle space I felt very comfortable in. It was also lovely hearing from the other participants on what they have learned that day after the dance session and how they felt more centred and what went through their minds while dancing. Definitely a very different dance/ movement experience that I enjoy quite a lot! 😊
I went with no expectations and left with a full heart. This is not just about dance, but about self expression, being present, observing my mind, body and breath. i enjoyed yesterday’s DFT release session 🌌 felt ready for bed at the end 😊😴 the pace was just nice for me, and Vincent brought us through a sequence that somehow released held tensions in the body. Would highly recommend this class!
